Fellow friends,

Thank you for visiting this humble little blog of mine. Many thanks to Ms Shahrinaz for assessing this blog. First and foremost, for this assignment, I have paired up with a friend of mine named Stefanie Liew. Basically, what we did was, we prepared a short introduction of ourselves, and from there on, we managed the HTML coding.

How we kept in contact was through MSN messenger instant messaging, and also through emails. There was not much of a difficulty once we learned how to do HTML coding in class. Before coming to IT class, I was totally blur and lost with HTML, not knowing what it really is. However, after attending classes and trying out tutorials, it seemed easy enough. The tough thing about HTML is knowing the codes and being able to generate codes for different layouts. In creating a HTML, we used notepad, and from there on, we saved in .html format under 'All files'.

Concerning the experience of having to deal with codings for different layouts, it was frustrating as what I tried to do did not appear the way it seems. I was trying to make the image appear on the left, with the description right beside it, but it did not happen. In the end, the image is just separated for the top and the bottom, and the descriptions are read based on the picture most relevant to it. Stefanie had a share of deciding how out layout should look like as well, so it was great working with her.

We used Bravehost to upload our webpage, and it seemed quite easy. At first, I did not really know how to use it, and then I asked a friend of mine who happened to be uploading her webpage as well. So we worked on it, and there it goes, uploaded to Bravehost. The tricky part was to remove the name of our webpage at the end of the link, and for that, I was lost. Then my friend made a very interesting mistake that helped me figure out how to remove our webpage name at the end of the link, and it turned out to be http://humurouspage.bravehost.com/. So it's easier to read and nicer to follow.

Creating a blog was easy, but the tough part was changing its contents and keeping it, so, I guess there is not really much to talk about my blog.

All in all, I'm really happy to have a cooperative partner, it is not easy to do a group assignment if your member does not work with you, and lesson learnt is that having teamwork in a group is the most essential part of getting your work done even if you do not have the knowledge. As long as a group is able to figure out and help each other in dire situations, it will change the whole system into a brand new product. The End!

  1. HTML - checked!
    Blog - checked!

Job well done to both of you. Good to hear that the lesson learnt is 'teamwork'. ;-) The bigger challenge is in front of you now - working in a team of 10 for the 'Final Project'. All the best!
